My 10-year-old cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes. The vet prescribed a special diabetic food, but my cat doesn’t like it and refuses to eat it.
Does anyone have any suggestions to help get my cat to eat her food or at least to eat better?
I’m tearing my hair out!!!!

Hi Bruce,
That’s a tough one. Cats are called finicky eaters because they ARE. They just won’t listen to reason when it comes to eating what is good for them.
You’re going to have to do some trial and error coming up with a diet your cat will accept, but it can be done.
Here is a link to some resources and suggestions for you in getting food your cat will eat that is good for her: http://www.felinediabetes.com/diabetic-cat-diets.htm
