My toy poodle has diarrhea. Help!

Tuesday, April 9th, 2013

My 5 1/2 month old toy poodle has diarrhea (it has mild, almost no blood in it) and she is throwing up. She was fine this morning then she started vomiting a faded mustard like substance.  We just got her and she does not have her shots yet. She doesn’t seem sick at all, she still seems very eccentric as always. My grandma gave her something to eat and soon after that she threw it up. Please help! — Eli

Could my dog be going blind?

Wednesday, March 27th, 2013

I have a 9 year old Sharpei-pitbull mix. She has been ignoring me when I give her treats. She looks at where the walls are  and  she walks right past them but she ignores the treats. I always open the back door to let her play but she just sits.  What could be wrong with her? Could my dog be going blind? Please help. – Benjie

Is it possible to pass disease from a pet store dog to your dog?

Tuesday, February 5th, 2013

If you decide to handle a pet store puppy, is it possible to catch and carry a disease from that puppy to your dogs at home? Or do the two animals need to be in contact with each other? If you can accidentally pass on a disease, what common sicknesses are there and how do you tell the difference between a relatively healthy dog and a sick dog? :) thanks in advance

Help! Anxiety ridden dog.

Friday, January 25th, 2013

How do I help an anxiety ridden dog? My dog has terrible anxiety issues.  I will see the vet on the 24th to talk about it.  What are some healthy ways to help her that I can do at home?  I hate to see her go on medication.

How can you cure a depressed dog?

Friday, November 16th, 2012

My chihuahua is 4 years old. Within the last three days her personality has changed dramatically, she walks around very mopey.  She has been pacing and never seems to relax.  She used to be very happy and I am worried that she is depressed because we bought a new kitten about a month ago.  She acts like she is in physical pain, but when I took her to the vet she stops acting this way.  I think she is depressed, what can I do to cheer her up?

Thank you.

My puppy has it and I’m just wondering, while he is being treated, should I keep him away from other dogs? Or is it not contagious?
