I love my robo hamster and shes just too young to die. I just noticed she has lost the fur on her lower back above her butt. Also her skin is all scabby. I really cant be spending money on a vet. What are some treatments I can do ? She also shares a cage with another robo hamster, that one seems fine but I want to know if I should separate them, just in case? I looked up wet tail and I dont think its that. Please help. – Sandy

My hamster has been acting weird and her eye looks funny. Can anyone give me a list of signs or anything that tells me if my hamster is sick or is just becoming old? She is a full adult. Thank you!
I guess I will add what her eye looks like. One eye is squinting, almost shut while the other one is open like it is supposed to be.
My hamster has a lump on her chest! Should I be worried? I recently saw that my golden hamster has a lump on the inside of her chest. She is acting perfectly normal, and isn’t showing any signs that she’s in pain. Also, she’s not losing any hair, but the lump is a fairly good size for such a small animal. Please help! – Annie
My hamster is breathing heavily. I brought her to see a Vet and was given Meloxicam for swelling and Mucosal Elixir for improving of breath. She have the medicine for 3 to 4 days. However, it doesn’t seem to helped. She is 1yr and 8mths, a Syrian. She is getting thinner. How can I help her to feel more comfortable other than the medicines? Please help!
I have 2 female rats and I’ve had them since this summer. They are great. They’re very friendly and sociable. The problem is, when I get them out of the cage, they still seem a little timid. When I take them out, I put them in my room and usually do homework. If they get close, something as simple as the flip of a page will make them bolt. I take them out almost every day. I’m not worried about it, I just want to be able to play with them more outside of the cage. Thanks.
Hey everyone, I just got two guinea pigs (one for my brother and one for myself) and my brothers always squeaks when you put her down or just when she is in her cage. I do understand guinea pigs squeak but she tends to do it a lot. For example, I put her in the cage and she was squeaking a lot. Why?
I have a hamster. Can an expert or even not but has knowledge about Syrian hamsters help me.
1.) If you put two hamsters-’Syrian’ already in a cage and gets use to it, will they not fight and kill each other because they are known to kill one another and to be alone in one cage
2.) How to take good care of it. Can you give some tips?
3.) Why do they not drink if I put water in a small bowl? Does it need to be warm? I think my water is a little bit cold.
Help me please. I’m a newbie to pet these animals. Thanks!
