I wrote you earlier about my cat being diagnosed with cancer. You were very kind and helpful and prompt in your responses, but unfortunately, I lost my cat due to the cancer. I was wondering if you could give me the address of some facility that does research on cancer for cats, so I could tell my family and friends if they wish to donate some money to this worthy cause in memory of Mittens.
Thanks Again
Linda V
I’m very sorry for the loss of your friend. I would suggest maybe donating to your local veterinary college. They are constantly doing continuing research in the cancer field. Cornell is one of the biggest programs for animal cancer research.

I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. You are to be commended for your thoughtfulness and compassion in hoping to help prevent the kind of loss you have suffered. I hope this helps you with your loss, too.
Cornell Feline Health Center does research specifically for cats, and the Winn Feline Foundation also specializes in feline research. The American Association of Feline Practitioners does grants to vets every year; several recently have focused on cancer.
Hope this helps. You can check out these and then decide which might be the best way to remember Mittens.
My thoughts are with you.
