Looking for a feline chiropractor
Tuesday, September 1st, 20094 y/o Corgi with slipped disc. Need help!
Monday, April 6th, 2009My in laws have a 4 year old Corgi and she has been dragging her hind legs around for the past couple days. They took her to their vet and he said it could be a slipped disc but couldn’t be certain without an MRI.
He also said if it needs surgery, it would only give her a 33% chance of using her hind legs.
A fellow co-worker of mine breeds corgis and said he had experienced the same problem with one of his dogs. He took his dog to several vets and they all said the same as they told my in-laws. One of the specialists recommended Chiropractic care, so they went to a person in southern Connecticut and they performed some type of laser therapy and after four or five visits the dog could walk fine.
So we’re looking for any animal chiropractors in our area and also asking if there is anything else that can be done for our dog. The vet they took her to said that if she can’t be healed that she should be put down, due to the fact that my in-laws couldn’t afford the six thousand dollar bill.
We want to at least try the chiropractic procedures before we make such a drastic decision.
