Bird watching is a favorite pastime for many people. They keep us entertained with their many songs. It is fun to watch them build their nest and start a family. There are many types of seed for all your variety of birds. The best bird food is a good mixture of seeds, bread and insects. This will satisfy most birds. Many of your feeders are designed for seed. A platform feeder is a good feeder if you wish to offer mealworms, fruit. Tiny seeds are best put in a tube feeder.
A popular seed is Black Oil Sunflower seed. Many birds will come to the feeder that provides this seed. These seeds have a thinner shell and can be easily opened versus the stripped sunflower seed. These are tough and hard to open.

They like millet, cracked corn and wheat. The best bird food for Robins and bluebirds are insects, fruits or berries. Hummingbirds will need a special feeder to dispense a liquid. You will need to have a nectar mixture for them. These are very fun birds to watch. It is amazing how fast they can fly. They are very colorful, tiny birds.
