Weekly News

Greetings! After a quiet period for recall news, we have two stories that hit our desks. One concerns a lawsuit aimed at making the FDA make a creditable investigation into a Texas lab's findings of other contaminants in tainted pet food. The other story concerns continued fallout for Menu Foods as a result of the scandal.

In other pet health news, rising feline thyroid disease may be linked to a common chemical found in most households, and a warning has gone out to consumers about the danger of a rare form of salmonella poisioning connected with the handling of pet food.

We have some weird pet news about fashionable doggy do's and our Photos of the Week follow a panda from birth to 3 months.

Enjoy and have a great week!

In our second story, Menu Foods continues to suffer fall-out from the pet food scandal, this week announcing that its biggest customer is cancelling more of its orders with the pet food manufacturer.

Baby Panda

Someone sent us these amazing photos of a baby panda from birth through three months. We tracked down the source of the photos, they came from the World Wildlife Organization, and selected a few of the 18 photos to share with you. During our research we also found a video clip of a mama and baby panda that is very short and will make you smile.

Enjoy!
