Weekly News

Greetings!

This week is the Be Kind To Pets Week from the Humane Society, and Sunday is Mothers Day. I've had a couple of pet owner 'moms' comment that they want to celebrate that day even though the kids they have are furry. I agreed that did qualify them to celebrate. Do you agree?

In our "FINALLY!!" news, I just read that the details of the Menu Foods settlement will be released next week. Things do take a long time to go through the courts, don't they? Speaking of that, our first article is about the FDA banning certain cattle parts from pet and cattle food to prevent the spread of mad cow. The ruling goes into effect a year from now.

This week's video is titled "Coyote Attack Video". I discovered it as I was researching recent coyote attacks.

Have a great week and you'll hear from us again next week

Sincerely,
Adam

Alligator tries to become a house pet

Apparently cats, dogs and parrots are not the only ones who have the right to benefit from a cozy home. Who says that alligators must not walk around a house? Maybe that’s what the 8-foot, 8-inch alligator weighing about 230 pounds was thinking when it entered Sandie Frosti’s house on 20 Evelyn Court near Oldsmar Florida.

He's pulling out his hair!!!

    Thank You

Chelsea (10 lb Sheltie)-- 12.5 years old has a .45 X .5 tumor in her bladder in the front (where they say it can be operated on). I was thinking of laser surgery but have spoken to a Dr. who said perhaps regular surgery is best to get clear margins. Any excellent hospitals or names of Dr's would be appreciated.

    Thank You

I have a 7 year old Bischon. She is prone to crystals in her urine. She has been on Hills CD and SD and got rid of those crystals and now has UD crystals. I wonder if you have any clue what is causing them or what I can give her to keep her free of them. These crystals now are serious and if they form stones, only surgery will remove them.

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.
