The Mythological Veterinarian
July 10, 2008 -- From Cinematical.com

HOLLYWOOD - We've got vets, animal psychics, animal psychologists -- pretty much all the medical help for an animal you can think of. But these are the regular, everyday animals we're talking about. What happens to those unicorns, dragons, and other creatures of fantasy when they get sick? According to Variety, Andrew Kurtzman has the answer. They report that he has just sold a comic pitch to Columbia Pictures called Mythological Veterinarian.

The comedy will center on "a modern-day veterinarian who's recruited by a secret society that watches over the world's mythological creatures." I wonder just what makes a person eligible for this line of work. Do they have to have experience with a large variety of animals? Do they have to have pictures of centaurs or mermaids on their walls? Maybe they have to participate in at least one hunt for Bigfoot? Whatever the case, it sounds like a fun premise, and it's certainly not the usual, run-of-the-mill story.
